I own the domain name greenend.org.uk.
From time to time people ask me for email address under greenend.org.uk, or for DNS subdomains. I occasionally gives such addresses or domains to friends, essentially on a whim.
If you have such a greenend.org.uk address then you might want to know how to set the SAUCE policy for it.

I was once asked if I'd assign an email address (strictly, a syntactic equivalent thereof) in greenend.org.uk for use as a unique name for something. I prefer to allocate a subdomain for this purpose, thus letting the requester allocate as many unique names as they like without having to ask me (or any other namespace owner). Usually I will put a TXT record in the DNS to indicate the delegation of namespace.
I've used a few FPIs starting “-//greenend.org.uk”. If you for some reason want play in this namespace too, get in touch with me.
In general inquiries (including complaints) about a subdomain of greenend.org.uk should go to the owner of the subdomain first. For example an query regarding email about something to do with sfere.greenend.org.uk would be better addressed to postmaster@sfere.greenend.org.uk than postmaster@greenend.org.uk.
Usually this rule does not apply to subdomains which are just service names.

If something doesn't seem to work like you expect, don't just send uninformative test messages to (for instance) postmaster@greenend.org.uk, like some nitwit did once; that'll just annoy me and disincline me to help with whatever you were trying to achieve. Instead, it's much more sensible to tell me what you think the problem is.

The website www.greenend.org.uk is managed more or less equally by a small group of people. Queries should be directed to website@greenend.org.uk.
terraraq.org.uk is the ROT13 of greenend.org.uk, and sounds cool, so I registered the domain. I prefer to give out addresses and subdomains under greenend.org.uk rather than terraraq.org.uk, but the basic policy of doing things on a whim is the same.
(terraraq.bet.hx would be even better, but there doesn't seem to be any such TLD at the moment.)
